I was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland during the period of the Communist regime. I emigrated to the U.S. at the age of fourteen, developing my interest in artwork during high school in New York City, and went on to receive a B.S. in Graphic Arts from the University of Maryland in 1984. After a professional career in illustration/design in N.Y., I visited Kaua'i in 1995 and chose this peaceful island as the place to settle down and expand my artistic vision into diversified areas of fine art.
