You may customize your filter and allow lists by clicking on the links within the descriptions. For example, if you click Allowed Senders, you will see this window:
Editing Allowed Senders

This will allow you to add and delete individual addresses on your Allowed Senders list.

If you choose Custom Filters, you will be given this screen, which gives you the chance to pick and choose filters individually.
Editing Custom Filters

Choosing the wrong custom filters can cause email you want, to be sent to your junk folder. If you are not sure what each custom filter does, please use the Careful or Strict filter. When you are done choosing the filter, click Finish to save settings and return to the Spam Filters option page. Aftering saving, you can return to your email by clicking the Inbox link on the left side of the page.

Any email that gets caught in your spam filters will be sent to your "Junk" folder. Email in your Junk folder will be automatically deleted after seven days.
