"Be the change you wish to see in the world"

Mahatma Ghandi

Pick You Own welcomes people who are on a path toward sustainability and spirituality.  We are 90% food self-sufficient, which was our first goal.  Pick Your Own is a place to meet kindred spirits and experience how it could be to share, live and work together.

Stop by to see us for a garden tour, a fruit snack to go or to harvest food for your meals.

ALTERNATIVE FOOD

Most peoples food in industrial countries travels thousands of miles before reaching our plate.  Help shrink this distance and at the same time, learn about the Polynesian plants that we grow.  Take a stroll in the garden and harvest what you need to prepare your meal. We have recipes so you can cook these new foods.

Here is some of what we are growing .

Coconuts Breadfruit Tapioca
Mangoes Taro Bananas
Papayas Sweet Potatoes Guavas
Sugar Cane Noni Avocados
Passion Fruit Chili Peppers Pumpkin
Eggplant Ginger Turmeric
Soy Beans Basil Garlic
Green Onions Arugula Edible Fern

We have achieved about 90% food self sufficiency.  Food is abundant.    You may be unfamiliar with most of the food but isn't trying new things part of the joy of traveling?  We have adapted Polynesian food to Western tastes.
