These stories are written by Rev. Akira Nakagawa and linked to his temple's homepage "Jonenji Buddhist Temple's Homepage. There are 84,012 Buddhist pieces of scriptures in Buddhism. Some are written in Pali Burmese and other languages which are very difficult for us of the modern age to read. These difficult scripture were rewritten as Buddhist Stories making them easily understandable. These stories are rich parables and they greatly influenced (the literature of) Persia, Arabia and other countries. Surprisingly, it seems the well-known Aesop's Fable were modeled after Buddhist Stories.
