Maulua cliffs image

This is a studio painting, four feet tall and three feet wide. It's the first in a new series of paintings from the Big Isle-the island I live on and which I know best. The subject is the cliffline on the north side of the Maulua gulch during a large December swell. Maulua is the first gulch drivers pass through after Ninole on the way to Laupahoehoe.
