DAVID'S STAR
We are not strangers to the beautiful
and enigmatic Star of David, those two ancient interwoven triangles: One
pointed heavenly and anchored by the two earthly polarities, male and female;
The other pointed to the earth, anchored by the heavenly polarities of
balance and karma. I've chosen to increase the complexity of these relationships
by interleaving two six pointed stars in this Mandala, to indicate that
no single truth exhausts Man's approach to the sacred. The directness of
the Old Testament's command, the words surrounding this piece, is part
of the meditation that conceived it.
