MOSES DISAGREES TO DISAGREE
Honolulu, HI - Representative Mark Moses ® - 42nd House District - Makakilo, Kapolei, Ewa,
Honouliuli, Village Park, Royal Kunia, Kunia - rose on the Floor of the House today and said, "Not to be disagreeable, but I rise to disagree with disagreeing out of hand with this Draft of the House Budget HB 2500. I still have reservations with certain aspects of the measure but I want to remind my colleagues that the measure is based on NO General Excise Tax increase, and has many good aspects to it. Unlike the earlier version, this version of the bill offers a balanced budget based on NO GE Tax increase but retains income tax decreases for the hard working people of Hawaii."
This version of the budget restores the $17.5 million to complete and furnish the Kapolei Middle School, includes $4 million of planning and design monies for the Kapolei High School, and restores 8.9 million to begin design and construction of the Kapolei Library.
