In stately groves we'd wandered
Among the ancient graves of Mu,
Yearning sadly for the other,
Seeking sorrowfully, we two.
The perfumed lotus of your heart
The music of your soul, I knew;
With these, and dreams of your dear face,
Across three continents I flew.
And there one sacred dewy morn
We knew our bond could not be killed
Our eyes embraced, we recognized
Our former selves, our search fulfilled.
In silence plants unfold their hearts
And soundless are the mists above,
In stillness blends my heart in yours
And rested lies my soul in love.
