Wooden Bailers

We here in Hawai`i bail canoes with old plastic detergent bottles, Nga Taumako use hand carved wooden scoops! Even if you don't have a canoe, or don't want to give up your favorite old soap bottle, you will appreciate having one of these beautifully made sa ("bailout" in Solomons pijin). Nga Taumako make two types: sa puke, large bailers for voyaging canoes, made in traditional Polynesian form wih an internal handle, and a smaller sa foe for use in padding canoes. We have both types for sale.
