  Taumako delegation returns to Taumako following Hawai`i planning visit.
  Meetings with national, provincial and community members en route
  Construction of shelter for Halevaka (canoe house) at Kahua, Taumako
February:
  Harvesting of posts for Halevaka
  First round of 8 classes (1 month each) in Lata Navigation School
  Beginning of final 2 months phase of repairs on PTS flagship, "Gryphon"
March:
  Harvesting of roofing beams for Halevaka
  2nd round 8 classes in Lata School
  Taumakoan crew transported to Nifiloli to sail Vaka Taumako back home; if no west winds, they will tow it by outboard canoe
  Relaunch Gryphon and preparations for voyage from New Zealand to Hawai`i
April:
  Sewing of sego leaf panels for roofing and walling of Halevaka
  3rd round of 8 classes in Lata School
  Felling of trees for major parts of tealolili for September TV documentary
  Trial sail and provisioning of Gryphon
  Gryphon sails for Kaua`i, nonstop
May:
  Final sewing of leaf panels, and harvesting of posts and beams for Halevaka
  4th round of 8 classes in Lata School.
June:
  Planting of foundation posts, raising of roofing and walling beams of Halevaka
  5th round of 8 classes in Lata School
  Gryphon arrives in Hawai`i
July:
  Lashing of leaf panels for roofing and walling of Halevaka
  6th round of 8 classes in Lata School
  Scripting of TV and archival productions
August:
  Harvesting and construction of betel nut trunk strips for flooring of Halevaka
  Construction of stone canoe ramps to Halevaka
  7th round of 8 classes in Lata School
  Scripting of TV and archival productions
September:
  Tealolili outrigger parts shipped to Kaua`i
  Arrival of film and training crew on Taumako for 4 week production of one hour TV documentary. Halevaka opening celebration. Harvesting of tree for vaka, rough-cut in forest, making of inner bark, hauling of rough-cut to sea, trial sails of Vaka Taumako, weaving of lauhala sail mats, visiting sites from Story of Lata on Taumako, demonstrations of navigation skills at sea, interviews with old voyagers
  Lashing and launching of smaller tealolili, sailing of tepuke
October:
  Film and training crew leaves Taumako
  If funding, crew of 8 or more Taumakoans go to Hawai`i to complete Tealolili Kaua`i
November:
  If Tealolili completed, trial sail inter-island using Gryphon as escort/recording platform
  Editing, translations, narration, and other post production work on TV production
  One Taumakoan video student works as intern in Hawai`i through Feb. 2002
December:
  Planning of Tealolili Kaua`i youth training and research program
  Final editing of TV documentary
  Taumakoan crew returns to Taumako
